Active volcanoes in Kamchatka

In Kamchatka, there are 29 active volcanoes. Located here is the biggest active volcano of Eurasia and one of the largest in the world the Klyuchevskoy volcano, which is 4700-4800 m height. Various types of active volcanoes are in Kamchatka.
Karymsky volcano is situated in the central part of the Eastern volcanic zone of Kamchatka. It is a cone with an absolute height of 1536m located in the center of the Karymsky caldera. The age of the volcano is several thousand years, it is young active volcano. It is one of the most active volcanoes in Kamchatka. More than 20 eruptions have been recorded in recent 215 years. The present activity started in January in 1996. On the day before the start of the eruption, a large earthquake(M7) took place in Karymsky region.
